Order what each job needs from your vendors

What's new

Order parts from vendors with purchase orders

You can now create purchase orders and email them straight to your vendor. Add items from the job's invoice or by hand, pick a delivery option and a desired delivery date, and track what arrives.

To get started: open a job → Add → Purchase order, or go to Accounting → Purchase orders. When it's ready, click Send purchase order, or Mark as sent if you sent it another way.

  • Job costing: purchase order costs that aren't on the invoice now count toward the job's costs, under Purchase orders.

Depending on your role, you may not see purchase orders.

Add more phone numbers and track lead sources

You can now have up to 20 phone numbers, each tagged with a lead source. Calls and texts show which source they came from, and new customers get that lead source automatically. Replies go out from the number the customer texted.

To get started: go to Settings → Phone numbers → Add number.

  • Pick your main number: tap ⋮ next to a number → Make main number. Automated texts go out from your main number.

  • Let a number go: tap ⋮ next to a number → Release number.

A new number can text once its texting registration is approved. Depending on your role, you may not see this setting.

Keep notes and history on every customer

In the Web app, customer records now have Notes and Activity. Add notes that apply to every job for that customer, like gate codes, pets or "call before arriving".

  • Notes: notes from the customer's jobs show here too, tagged with the job number.

  • Activity: see what happened across all their jobs, plus calls and texts, grouped by day. Click an entry to jump to it on the job.

Depending on your role, you may only see notes and activity from jobs assigned to you, without calls or texts.

What's improved

Add a summary to every job

Each job now has a summary: a short description of the work, separate from the appointment type and customer notes. Add it when you book the job. It shows under the address on the job page and in the job preview on the schedule, and edits show in the job's activity.

To get started: open a job → Add a summary. You can also ask an agent to add or update it.

Depending on your role, you may not be able to edit it.

Flag customers you shouldn't book

In the Web app, you can now mark a customer as do not service. A red Do not service badge then shows on the customer, in customer lists and when booking, and on their requests, jobs, texts and calls. It's a warning, not a block, so you can still book them if you need to.

To get started: open a customer → ⋮ → Mark as do not service.

  • Agents check too: agents tell you before they book or contact a flagged customer.

Depending on your role, you may not see this option.

Switch between your organizations

If you belong to more than one organization, you can now switch between them without signing out.

To get started: tap your organization's name under your email, then pick the one you want.

Get help from agents, or reach Onsite support

Ask an agent how to do something in Onsite and it now answers from what it can do, then offers to do it for you. Ask "How do I create an estimate?" and it offers to create it. When it can't help, it shows a Contact Onsite support card so you can chat, email or text the Onsite team.

The card shows in agent chat. On voice calls, agents tell you how to reach support instead.

Write longer agent instructions

Agent instructions can now be up to 10,000 characters, up from 4,000. Pasted text is no longer cut off. If you go over, the counter turns red and Save is turned off until you trim it.

To get started: open an agent → Instructions.

Fixes

  • In the Web app, moving between pages from the sidebar is faster on slow connections.

  • In the Web app, notification filters, job photos, and agent chat suggestions and images now scroll sideways with a mouse wheel.

  • In the Mobile app on Android, sheets with a text box, like the job summary, line item descriptions, timesheets and job costing, now stay above the keyboard.

  • Small layout improvements to Settings page headers in the Web app.
