Onsite Partners with Contigo to Own the Human Side of Adoption

Jacob Levine

Founder & CEO

We're excited to share that Onsite is partnering with Contigo Strategies to help our customers turn Onsite from software they've signed up for into a platform they run on. Contigo operationalizes AI for private businesses, working directly with leadership to move companies from strategy through execution without disrupting the systems already keeping them running. Together, we'll own the human side of adoption: the change management and user education that determine whether a great tool actually takes hold in the field. Onsite builds the platform. Contigo makes sure it lands.

The last mile is a person

Anyone whose work depends on nerves and repetition has likely heard the old shooter's maxim, "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast." It sounds like a paradox until you have watched someone rush. The hand that hurries fumbles the reload. The one that moves deliberately never has to move twice. We have been thinking about that line a lot lately at Onsite because it is the truest thing we know about adopting new tools. It also runs directly against a story the technology industry keeps telling about itself.

The story goes like this: the software is the hard part, and once the software is good enough, adoption takes care of itself. Build the better tool and the world beats a path to it. We have watched enough rollouts from the inside to know this is mostly a fiction. The software is rarely the hard part anymore. The hard part is the person standing in front of it on a Tuesday morning, three jobs behind, who has run their business a certain way for twenty years and has every reason not to trust the thing you just handed them.

That person is not a bug in the adoption curve. That person is the adoption curve.

We say this as the people building the tool, the ones for whom it would be so much easier to pretend that Onsite simply drops into a shop and the work reorganizes itself around it. But a platform is only as good as the change it actually produces in the field, and change in the field is a human process before it is a technical one. You can ship the cleanest scheduling engine ever written and it will die quietly if the dispatcher doesn't believe in it. Meaning lives in the hands. So does resistance.

This is the part of the work the industry likes to wave away, because it doesn't scale the way code does. You can't push an update to a person's habits. You can't refactor trust. The office moving on site is not a feature you install; it is a change you lead, one crew and one skeptic at a time. And the shops that stand to gain the most from AI are very often the ones with the least patience for another vendor promising the moon. They have been burned. They are right to be careful.

Which brings us to why we are partnering with Contigo Strategies.

Why this matters

Contigo does the thing most AI firms gesture at and almost none of them actually do: they operationalize. They sit with company leadership, find the places where the work is genuinely stuck, and move a business from strategy through execution without blowing up the systems that already keep the lights on. Their discipline is in closing the messy, unglamorous distance between a tool that exists and a tool that gets used.

We could have tried to build that muscle ourselves and done it half as well. Instead we are doing what the trades have always done when a job calls for a skill outside your own: you call the specialist. A great plumber doesn't pretend to be an electrician. He knows a good one, and he knows the job comes out better for the call. Contigo is our call. They handle the change management and the user education, the patient work of turning capability into competence, so that our customers cross the distance between buying Onsite and confidently running on it.

We can't pretend this makes adoption effortless. Real change is slow in the places that matter, and anyone who tells you otherwise is just selling the feeling of transformation rather than the thing itself. But slow is not the enemy of fast. Rushed is. A shop that adopts deliberately, with someone in the room who has done it before, grows sooner and more efficiently than the one that tried to swallow everything at once and choked. Smooth is fast.

The tools are getting extraordinary. We build them, and even we are surprised by them some weeks. But a tool sets down exactly as much value as its owner is ready to pick up, and readiness is not a download. It is taught, and trusted, and earned in the field. That is the work Contigo does, and it is why we went looking for the best rather than settling for good enough.

Buy the tool if it earns its place in your truck. Then give yourself the room to actually learn it.
