The Challenge

For a growing electrical contractor, the hardest part isn't finding the work. It's keeping up with the coordination that arrives with it.

A panel upgrade gets quoted on Monday. A property manager calls about a dead circuit in a unit. A general contractor needs rough-in inspected before the drywall goes up Thursday. Every one of those is a call to answer, a technician to assign, and a customer waiting on a time.

Add a truck and the field capacity doubles. The admin behind it doubles too.

Wyatt Albin and Jakup Grysiewicz started Gold Standard Electric in 2025 and built a reputation fast across the Chicagoland area. The team was winning work quicker than anyone could schedule, dispatch, and invoice it, and the only way to keep going was to stop letting the coordination scale one for one with the crew.

The Opportunity

Wyatt and Jakup weren’t looking to change how their team did electrical work. They were looking for a way to add technicians without adding a desk job for every few they hired.

On Jobber, admin work quickly became a bottleneck. Booking meant manual entry into Jobber and then QuickBooks for expense tracking across partners. Keeping customers updated meant stopping to text or call. Getting a quote out often meant driving back to enter it. The team wanted to:

  • Take calls and book jobs from the truck

  • Pull up customer and job history in the field

  • Send estimates same day, from the site

  • Keep customers informed without stopping to do it

All without hiring an administrator to support back-office operations

“Jobber felt like software built for a desk. Onsite was built for my truck. I can take customer calls, pull up job history, and send estimates, all while on the go. No more driving back to the office for data entry.”

The Solution

Gold Standard was live on Onsite the same day they signed up. No migration window, no lost week, no implementation team.

They started with the parts they needed most and kept adding as the crew grew. That matters more than it sounds. A shop going from a couple of technicians to a full roster doesn't need every feature on day one. It needs the platform to still fit six months later, when the problems are different ones.

The biggest early change was how a job gets created. With Onsite's assistant, a phone call becomes a scheduled job on its own. Onsite transcribes every conversation and pulls out what the office would otherwise have typed in later:

  • Scope of the electrical work

  • Property type and access details

  • Preferred timing

  • Contact information

  • Service location

Instead of taking notes and entering them after the fact, Wyatt schedules while the customer is still on the line. The work of booking a job stopped being work.

Four Times the Crew, Same Back Office

Since joining Onsite earlier this year, Gold Standard has grown its technician count by 4x, without adding any admin overhead.

The number that didn't move is the one worth paying attention to. Coordination load per technician came down instead of up, because scheduling, customer updates, and estimates stopped depending on someone being free to handle them.

That's what makes hiring the next technician a straightforward decision instead of a hard one. When adding a technician doesn't mean adding overhead behind it, growth stops getting throttled by the office.

A Clear View of the Business

Everything Wyatt's team needs to run a job now lives in one system, and the context travels with them to the site instead of staying in his head.

That last part is what changes at scale. A three-technician shop can run on the owner's memory. A twelve-technician shop cannot.

With crews multiplying, that single view is what keeps the operation clear. Wyatt can read the whole day across every truck without calling anyone to ask, and nothing gets lost between a phone call and the calendar, or between a finished job and a paid invoice.

Built for Growing Electrical Contractors

Onsite helps contractors like Gold Standard Electric spend less time coordinating and more time on the tools, by turning phone calls into scheduled jobs, customer updates, and estimates automatically.

For electrical contractors, the work in the field is what drives the revenue. Onsite makes sure the admin never gets in the way of it.
